The Hardware Distillery and Be The Traveler/Hood Canal Events are excited to announce our 6th ANNUAL FJORDIN CROSSIN. It will take place this year on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 11AM - 3PM at the Port of Hoodsport dock located at the Hoodsport Marina.
 

Fjordin Crossin is a fun family event that celebrates the old Linie Aquavit tradition of sending a barrel of Aquavit in a ship from Norway across the Equator and back. The Hardware Distillery pays homage to that spirit by sending a barrel of its DILL Aquavit across the Hood Canal, (our Fjord) aboard local designated vessel (TBA) with a festive Hoodsport celebration. Enjoy children's activities, a parade lead by the Sons & Daughters of Norway, a Paddle the Canal Challenge to an authentic fiddler and accordion player, roasted pig and other Scandinavian vendors. You will want to spend all day in Hoodsport!

 

Be a spectator while cheering on participants in the Paddle the Canal Challenge OR hang out in our rustic Aquavit Grotto located underneath the Hoodsport dock during low tide. Enjoy mixed Aquavit cocktails from Hardware Distillery, our custom brewed IPA from Portlach Brewing Company and wine from Hoodsport & Stottle wineries. All bar proceeds go to the Salish Sea Rotary Club. Prices vary and will be made available at the event. Sitting areas on the beach will be a fun way to enjoy this event!

 

Event entry is free but the Paddle the Canal Challenge is $39 adult / $25 (10-17 years old)

Parking is VERY limited - we strongly encourage you to use our SHUTTLE BUS from Hood Canal School located at the intersection of Hwy 101 & SR 106 with several stops throughout Hoodsport. Visit the Hoodsport Market and other shops along the way! Shuttle service runs from 11AM - 3:30PM.
